We'd never been to Harpers Ferry and Mike thought it would be a good thing to do while his parents visited this past weekend. He was right! It was a beautiful fall day and Harpers Ferry is such a cute, little historical town. We brought Yoshi to wear her out had fun walking around.
First things first - Ice cream! Was the perfect way to start things off because the kids weren't sure about this place. It sweetened their moods and gave them energy for hiking around!
Family photo with a beautiful, scenic backdrop.
Gerry found this "secret spot" - it was some stone steps that led up to... a pretty tree and grass near a church.
The bridge by the railroad tracks. Lots of locks on the bridge - we think this one was for a wedding. Yoshi was scared to go down the stairs because you could see through them!
The walls from an old canal.
This pretty little town had a fire go through it this past summer.
A new space to record my gratitude, regularly. Inspired by 100 Happy Days. I've realized that "Happy" is not possible for me all the time and rather than feel guilty about that I've decided to embrace what I CAN do - Gratitude. I can always find things to be grateful for - every day, even in my darkest moments. So join me in a million moments of gratitude. The more the merrier (thankfuller??)!
