Today I am grateful for a new day and a chance to listen to my daughter and remember lessons I've learned from past experiences. (She did not want to go to gymnastics today. I wanted her to. We discussed. We stayed home. We had a great day.)
Here are a few moments from our day in pictures:
Skyping with Grandma and reading a book. Marisol is making some huge strides in her reading!
We got outside for a while - in spite of Gerry resisting mightily. The great news - he had fun and we saw a Daddy Long Legs.
We did a cool, easy, fun experiment (it only requires a bowl, milk, food coloring, and dish soap.) Thank you Aunt Laura for sharing this with us!
Marisol lost tooth #7! Then I accidentally washed it down the kitchen sink. She melted down. I stayed calm. I found it in the garbage disposal. Nothing like going from the worst mom ever to Super mom in seconds!
"See if the flash knocks it down Mom!"
I finally have a reliable sleeper in the house.
So many things to be grateful for! And I started packing for our vacation. Life is good.
A new space to record my gratitude, regularly. Inspired by 100 Happy Days. I've realized that "Happy" is not possible for me all the time and rather than feel guilty about that I've decided to embrace what I CAN do - Gratitude. I can always find things to be grateful for - every day, even in my darkest moments. So join me in a million moments of gratitude. The more the merrier (thankfuller??)!
