Grateful for a beautiful fall day, big kids who finally appreciate hikes, waterfalls, an ergo backpack carrier that has been carrying kids for over 10 years and most of all - for family time together.
For crisp fall days, a fun backyard and these wonderful people in my life I am extremely grateful.
Getting back to a gratitude practice. Perfect time - 3 weeks before Thanksgiving. So grateful for these kids. 💜💙❤️
Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful day at Busch Gardens yesterday. We all had a blast, the weather was beautiful, and it was just an all around awesome day.
The last thing we did was the ice skating show and all 3 kids LOVED it. Carter was watching, giggling, and waving his arms like crazy. Gerry said, "I love this!" and Marisol always enjoys a good show - especially when animals AND gymnastics are involved. What a perfect day!
First: Dinner at the Lighthouse restaurant. We sat outside and saw the sunset. (How romantic!)
Then: back to the house for "dessert"... And - SURPRISE! All their friends and family were there to celebrate! So fun. They had no idea. 😀
We've been at my parents for a week and pretty much have our stuff settled in.
In addition to the moments caught below, we also went to the farmer's market this morning and a restaurant to hear our friend sing and play guitar.
We had tacos for dinner and made a lentil/quinoa filling in the crock pot as a vegetarian option for Marisol. Yum!
Today was a good day. We unpacked and organized more, Marisol and I baked Yoshi birthday dog treats, and we went to the pool. Carter enjoyed the water and his "boat". I survived my first day of no Facebook with hardly any twitching. All in all a Florida sun-shiny day.
Edit: how could I forget?? Carter is starting to stand unassisted! Today he set a record, balancing and standing for quite a stretch (5-10 seconds??) our big boy!! Soon he'll be off and running...
